Credit-by-Examination (CBE), the most popular learning assessment tool, helps your employees accelerate college degree completion while saving you money. A flexible, convenient option, employees study independently for exams in introductory subjects such as College Writing, Calculus and Statistics. Using the UExcel program along with the complementary Excelsior College Examinations (ECE) program, students may choose exams in more than 50 lower- and upper-level subjects.
Unique to the UExcel and ECE programs, employees who pass exams earn college credit officially awarded on a transcript from Excelsior College, a private, non-profit, regionally accredited* institution of higher learning. Employees may transfer their credits to the institution of their choosing or use them to complete a degree at Excelsior College.
*As regional accreditation is considered more prestigious and strenuous than national accreditation, credit on a transcript earned from a regionally accredited institution is more likely to be accepted by other institutions.
